All Saints & All Souls at Christ church
Each year the Parish prays for all saints of the Church — those whose particular revelation of God’s grace has inspired and encouraged Christians throughout the ages in their walk of discipleship, love, and service of God and neighbor.
We also pray for all souls—for all the departed, those who may be known only to us—as an act of charity and communion with those who have come before—and those who will come after us.
The parish necrology is prayed in the course of each year’s round of masses. But on the Commemoration of All Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day), the Parish observes a special Requiem Mass with a reading of the names of those dear to us personally who have gone before.
